Who are we?

Hunt Irving has a long history as a family known for helping families in the City of Chester and its surrounding areas. Founded by Lewis M. Hunt Sr. in 1927 as the Lewis M. Hunt Funeral Home, the Hunt family began serving Chester City and its surrounding areas. Lewis M. Hunt Sr. was the first state-appointed African-American Deputy Coroner and his wife was the first African-American female Deputy Coroner in the Delaware County.

What do we do?

The same traditions continue with the third generation of the Hunt family. Great-grandson Raphael M. Hunt Irving, serves as Owner and operates the Hunt Irving Funeral Home at 925 Pusey St. Chester, PA.. In addition Haven Memorial Park Cemetery and Crematory, 2500 Concord Rd. Chester Twsp, PA, is owned by his parents Lewis M. Hunt Irving Sr. and B. Vivian Hunt Irving; and the cemetery is operated by his brother Michael L. Hunt Irving.
